Part of a duo concert we played in Nara the other day.
Shakuhachi: Taro Matsumoto, Piano: Roger Walch.
The title of the tune is "Noeud de Lune" (composed by Roger Walch). Many thanks to Nara TV for the footage!

  • Fantastic sound! The two instruments compliment each other so well. Will you be posting any more of your duo or do have a CD available? By the way, what model of shakuhachi are you playing, is it something like a 2.4 jinashi.

  • Astounding shakuhachi. I'm enthralled by Taro Matsumoto's playing.
