  • Goering was a fool.

  • @PotatoGunsRule What? Hitler gave ordes for theLuftwaffe to exterminate the trapped Allies at Dunkirk, I think the myth Hitler saved anybody is just pathetic. The Germans knew nothing about Dynamo, The German high command said it was impossible for the Royal Navy to evacuate an entire Allied Army in such short time.

Even the Royal Navy, Said they would only be able to pick up 50,000 troops, However in the end 300,000+ British-French were saved to fight anouther day.

  • @13jam100 Out of respect? The Gemans stopped due to lack of supplies, ammo and the fear of brutal resistance.

The Germans knew the French & BEF was trapped, Goering said the Luftwaffe could take care of the trapped Allies, So the main German Forces could push South and take France.

Hitler gave orders for the Luftwaffe to exterminate the Allies on the beaches, Nobody would have ever expected 300,000+ Troops could be saved in such short time.

    The Germans were outsmarted.

  • I have read that Hitler figured England would make peace easier if the BEF was spared.

  • i wonder if hitler haulted the offensive out of respect for the B E F , . he did say he did not want to invade England.

  • This video is malarkey.

Panzers were not “stopped.” Panzers went into a necessary logistic cycle.

BEF was already pocketed, and laid up in an overly dense shambles.

Continued //infantry// pressure combined with artillery was all that was necessary to finish off BEF. RN ships coming to the coast would have been meat-on-the-table if they dared to beach themselves for time necessary to load.

Any density on a beach, or on a quay ought to have been immediately blasted to bits.

  • Masterpiece of WWII history.

  • the plan was not to cut the allies in two.General guderian was reprimanded for moving to fast and he disobeyed orders to slow down. That's when he got the nickname,'hurrying heinz".

  • Rommel was not up on his Highland regiments at Dunkirk. The Camerons who were the last regiment ever to wear kilts into battle, backed by 6 allied tanks counter attacked 7th Panzer division Schutson regiment 7 and beat them back soundly over the La Bassee Canal.

But Rommel afterwards countered the Camerons with Panzer 3.

  • Hitler was a prick
