Times Square Alliance dropped handfuls of confetti from an eighth-story window during an annual 'air worthiness test' to promote New Year's Eve events. The group is inviting people to write messages on the confetti that will fall New Year's Eve. (Dec. 29)

  • Yeah, just to see if the confetti 'works'.

  • I LOVE confetti. I WANT TO MOVE TO NY *JUST* for THAT. I think by far the spontaneous confetti releases during the day, when things are business as usual, would be a BLAST. I do wonder where it all goes, though - is it biodegradable tissue paper?

    IF ONLY all cities had Random Confetti Release Tests. THINK OF IT.
