BioShock 2 Music Video - Murmaider II

One of my more popular videos, and personally one of my favorites, was one made for BioShock: 2k Games' 2007 shooter/RPG hybrid that went on to score numerous Game of the Year awards and sits as one of the highest rated games of all time. Naturally, we knew a sequel was inevitable. Sure enough in 2008, 2k Games announced plans for not just a sequel to their coveted masterpiece, but a prequel as well. As time went on and ideas were thrown around, development of two games essentially became one.

Enter BioShock 2, the long-awaited followup that seeks to take everything its predecessor laid in place and further build upon the formula. The game itself is actually two games, sorting them into the single player and new multiplayer modes. In single player, we are cast in the shoes of the Alpha Daddy, the original prototype on which Big Daddies were modelled. Seven years after the events of BioShock, you are tasked with stopping a rogue scientist who was a longtime rival to Andrew Ryan and her pet: the Big Sister, a former Little Sister rescued in the original game who returned to Rapture and assumed control of the underwater city. In multiplayer, the clock is set back to 1958- one year prior to BioShock. Players control the various denizens of Rapture in "field testing" plasmids and various methods of home defenses (guns, blunt objects, etc), care of Sinclair Solutions- an outsourced corporation branch of Ryan Industries that was responsible for live experimentation on created weaponry and plasmids.

The game launches Feb. 9th 2010 on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
