  • is that Bloc Party i hear?? Man, you guys have good taste in music and comics! Batman 686 was soooo good, it has classic written all over it, can't wait for part two. Gaiman is a master.

  • Yes it is pobra! All the credit goes to Jose for the music. I've got an MP3 player full of music that he's introduced me to.

Glad to see someone notice. ;-)

  • I loved Batman 686, it was a proper story done by a proper writer, you can tell it will become a timeless classic.

Kubert did a good job on the art but he didn't stretch himself artistically as much as he could when emulating previous artists. I think Rick Veitch would have done a better job of that but they'd never give Veitch a top dc book.

Also Batman Confidential 26 drawn by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez this month was a very solid good read as well.

  • I was flipping through that book, locus. It was some really nice work by JLGL. Remember when he did 'Atari Force'?

    Good times,

  • It has been a point of argument for a while but Neil says it like Gaym'n and I assume he knows.

  • Ya, I read it. I thought is was ok. That's a lot coming from me for a comic written by Loeb.

    J.

  • whoops i meant Batman: Hush...have any of u guys read it?

  • I bought both parts of this story and I just finished it this morning(I've been busy). I love how Gaiman got deep into the characters. I thought that was really cool, plus I'm a huge fan of the Kubert's art so this story was a treat for me. I'm also in a Batman mood after reading Batman:Rush. Jose, or Elliott have u guys read Batman:Rush? Yes its a Loeb story but its very good!

  • Neil Gaiman's book Good Omens is amazing.

A must read for anybody who even enjoys Gaiman in the least. A must read.

  • I just wanted to see what others thought about this, I personally loved this comic, and its nice to see others enjoyed it too.

    cheers guys, good review.

  • guys, you have a number of Neal Adams issues I want in the background. Are they for sale?

    Thanks

    Gary
