Growing up, Kimba was my favorite cartoon. I remember it well. Of course when Disney came out with the Lion King, I thought it was a rip off. I'm now convinced they are separate entities, both with their own endearing qualities. Kimba a fond memory of my childhood and Simba, a wonderful animated movie brought to life in an amazing Broadway show that everyone should see once in their lifetime.
Great job on the tribute. Perfect song. Queen has always been my favorite!!!

pretty pointless post

@weylin6 Correction. Simba is much more cartoony and cute, Kimba had a true circle of life (Someone's dead? welp, weeping time is over, time to feast upon its flesh!)

Hey is the song in the video the theme song to the Highlinder the series?

ok so Disney got promising but i did ant see them credit kimba and why should them get paid for it if its not the original design and people complain in art if one thing looks similar but it comes to kimba and the lion king then its ok? i love both shows dont get me wrong there where amazing but they should have said ideas from kimba the white lion and whatever else and great video fitting :) but they should not get away with things like this just my opion please dont flame

@KHwhitelion Its funny that TLK was based off Hamlet: Did you ever notice how Kimba makes many references Sakespeare's play "Caesar"? The father was named Caesar, and his enemy is Cassius, who is almost successfull in one episode at destroying the Jungle/Roman Empire by giving a public speech behind his back, turning the furry citizens against him to create chaos and take control.

@Brolytheultimate8 Yeah, tell me about it. So depressing that I did a college term paper on Disney and their crazy ways. There are parts in the movie where Disney copied the worded script of Kimba 100% verbatim. And like KHwhitelion mentioned, Disney never asked permission to use any of it: characters, scripts, scenes, etc., or gave credit. Boo, disney. :-/

I think we are all missing the best part of the video: When Freddy Mercury screams, "Bring on the girls!"

@AvaniMagic I grew up with that movie and grew up to love it till now

atually disney was very good friends with the maker of kimba so they let them disney use their idea so its not stealing

I know Tezuka and Disney were friends, but lion king was made 30 years after Disney died, and 20 yrs after Tezuka died.
Disney--run by Eisner at that point--claims TLK is an original story with original characters. Not so. The story is based of Hamlet, and the characters based of Kimba.
It's not like when Tezuka asked Walt to turn Bambi into a Manga. Disney didn't ask or give credit.
