my 1998 cr125 with a polished frame and sub frame. i polished almost everything that was aluminum.
i also polished my pro circuit pipe i fixed it in welding (hit a tree) and re polished it looks 300% better.
how to do it you need
1.) mothers aluminum polish.
2.)220 grit sand paper
3.)400 grit sand paper
4.)600 grit sand paper
5.)800 grit sand paper
6.)1000 grit sand paper
7.)1500 grit sand paper
8.)2000 grit sand paper
9.) a orbital sander and a polishing wheel for it.
10.) 100% cotton clothes or micro clothes
how you do it first you clean the area you want to polish for me i washed my bike and then tore it apart striped it all the way down to the frame. then you start with the lowest grit and work your way up sand in cross grit pattern, apply some mothers aluminum polish and rub it with a cloth it should turn black rub for a minute or two then remove with a different clothe and put some more on and repeat. and it will look like what i have done.
will make your bike look so much better!!!!!

  • i think you did more work than was needed. I got similar results from just two passes with 800 and 1000 grit paper and twice polished. Still, nice results! too bad its just gonna get ruined in the dirt :P

  • @LeMieux250 yea i just took and did a quick polish job after washing it still lasted a long time

  • hey sweet job on your bike..... just a quick question. i race GNCC and Harescrambles with my bike and it tends to scratch plastics and stuff up a good bit. When you do this to your frame does it show alot of the scratches and stuff from woods riding?

  • @wes92395 yea but u just re polish it really quick and alot of the scratches will come out

  • its a DIRT bike..........i mean its looks nice but whats the point? does the shiny frame make u faster?

  • @chughes44 makes it look alot better lol and mud and water dont stick to it and u will get alot of compliments on it i highly recommend this!!

  • to fix the pipe just fill it whit water ,be careful to not late air bubbles,(you have to close very tight the cilinders and silencers holes)and put it in the freezer for some hours,it works garanteed! uou dont need to cut and weld and the final results is better,i hope you understand my bad english...:-)

  • Good job! Think your front sprocket is due though if you didnt notice.

  • I'd sell it before you have to polish it all out again! I've polished so many parts on my bikes over he years man fingers hurt so bad! Can't imagine all of this 5 stars even tho it's a 98 frame..

  • @chughes44 really hmm theres a vid of a guy that did it look up 2010 cr125

  • @emoskater1212 not that im aware of, the shrouds might bolt up. but i doubt the rear number plates will, and i know the front number plate wont because of the mount i have 07 plastics and had to change my plate a lil bit to make it work

  • @chughes44 i like hond and suzuki i gota a 09 crf150 and a 07 rmz250 i heard u can fit 2010 crf450 plastics on a cr125

  • @emoskater1212 i have a 2003 CR125. And a 2006 KX250f and i guess a 1998 RM125, but i never ride that piece of shit anymore
