Improvised cover version
by: ARDIE SARAO
Edge of Darkness is a British television drama serial aired in late 1985. A mixture of crime drama, political thriller, and science fiction. I heard this instrumental piece on Eric Clapton's "24 Nights" Live video . Its a mixture of blues and brilliant orchestration by Michael Kamen RIP (April 15, 1948 November 18, 2003).
I did an improv version with a mixture of neo/classical shred influenced by: Joe Satriani and Tom Morello.
I used my custom Charvel Jackson guitar ,Line 6 amp and Digitech Whammy pedal.
Backing tracks courtesy of Total Guitar Magazine.
Thanks for listening!!!!

  • Hi, sounds great!! good job guy, dont you used mic? it goes straight to the computer with an out line from the amp?

  • Just straight to my PC from a Line 6 amp and a Digitech Whammy......not bad for a rehearsal take

  • excellent, throughly enjoyed your posting, i would imagine a difficult piece to play, but you put a different slant on it, which was refreshing and well played, good job x

  • @ardiesarao without reading a lot of the comments i expected there would be a few harsh ones from the e.c brigade but having watched the whole of your video i found it to be quite refreshing given that its your own take.i know a lot of people like any cover to be close to the original but it is good to improvise a bit and do your own thing well done

  • dude where did you get the backing track from, and is there anyway to get it online???

  • That sounded awesome!!

  • nice work :)
