Christian Rap On Fox News

Christian hip-hop has existed since at least '82 - eg. MC Sweet - Jesus Christ (The Gospel Beat). God and truth has always existed. Since when is it not right for someone to express a message or truth in a song as they see it? It's fine not to agree with a message, but every song "propogands" something. I like to hear truth - this doesn't mean I need to hear the name of Jesus in every song, but I shouldn't it be mentioned once in awhile? The Creator of the universe deserves some props!

It's like guys saying "look at my bling bling, I got so many cadillacs I lost count," etc. And others listening to this junk are like "we knew that before you even wrote the song because of the rich label you on, quit being so repetitive." In the next 10 years, some secular rap fans might be buying nothing but Gospel hip-hop because it's the only profound rhyme-music out there right now.

@solidrecording2012 He meant you are cheapening it by adding christianity to it..
-
What is this? Are they trying to make Christianity better or gangsta rap worse?
-
this is nothing compared to real hip hop
Listen to Rakim, 2Pac, Biggie Smalls, Big L, NWA, Public Enemy, then you'll know what i mean

great point.

You have to realize that Christian rap is almost 8 years behind mainstream rap. Secular rap began in 1979, while the first ever nationwide full length Christian rap album didn't see the light of day until 1987. That is why it is taking so long for them to catch up.

dude thats exactly what my friend wuz talkin about last time. he went from gangster rap to mainstream rap to like rock and hippie music cuz he was tired of listrning to the same old stuff
this is so dumb... i mean i guess rappers have every right to put christianity into their raps but the people in this video seem to be cheapening the message of hip hop
