doing 65-70k's with the trim up, and then a stack which i was lucky to still have a working phone. i went overboard and saved my phone by holding it in the air as i skimmed accross the water.

  • 5,500rpm max'd out,1.92 gear ratio, light weight boat, you'd have to be running at least a 15"-16" pitch and that doesn't allow for normal slip of around 10% . Or maybe the engine is past the redline. Possible , yes..

  • wow you seem to know what u r talking about..

well in that case, i do notice it seems to max out quite easily with little struggle, what would i have to do prop wise to get more speed with the same engine??

  • not possible for ur engine.. and trust me i know

  • y not.. it was doing 64k's that day without changing the trim, it can do at least another 2-3k's with it trimmed up

  • @whitepinehost bog standard 1991 4hp mercury short shaft on maestral 9ft. with inflatable keel..water temp 58 air temp 77 sea flat calm...believe me this will do 17mph..

now if like above you want to know prop and then theorise, youl see it should be even faster...you go look up what the ratio is then multiply by pitch then divide and work out the 5500rpms.....its not rocket science

  • well you can believe what you like, i have a bog standard 1991 mercury 4 hp short shaft on a 9ft meastral 6. the boat with just me weighing 15 stone will do 17 mph on the sea..water temp 58f air temp 77f sea state flat, no wind.50-1 fuel ratio 95 octane fuel.

This speed was attained whilst keeping up with a novice mono skier going from two ski's to a single, pumped up hard, these boats realy do fly.

  • @phillnjack

Give me the prop and gear ratios and I'll tell you how fast you're going. 17mph with a 4hp. NEVER

  • Did I mention that this kid is an idiot

(really should get a real boat eg supaskua)

  • @shocknrockn .i love it when people say it cant be done etc...well ive got a avon s400 with a 2 cylinder 2 stroke dt30hp suzuki and the boat with 1 person will do over 40mph, this has been clocked on gps and radar. ive also got a 9ft 6 maestral with 4hp mercury that will do 17mph, again checked with garmin gps and boat speedo. this speed was attained on the sea not lake or river. i think the owner of the boat at the top is confusing mph with kilometers. phill

  • @DryFlyFishing yeah

  • GINGER

  • its a fake Video ... listen to there voices... when they go fast they sound like the chipmunks

  • Standard pitch propeller will limit you to that speed unless you are overrev ving the engine. I agree the speed is unlikely, but with the right prop on a light weight inflatable it is possible.

  • this is fake i tryed this on my zodiac pro 3000 and i only got to 40-45km. i also have a 30hp mercury. how big is ur boat? 10ft?
