  • I am an absolutely huge muse fan and i'm sick of the 'oh muse copy radiohead' comments because it's a load of bull.

but you cannot deny that muse had influence from them. If you were a muse fan you'd know that they hired John Leckie who produced radiohead's album the bends to produce showbiz and origin of symmetry because they were so inspired by that album!

  • I think Muse's version is better because when Matthew sings it, you can clearly hear on his voice that the's sad for leaving another friend behind and in the MFC version, it looks like the leadsinger is singing it in an ironic way, it doesn't looks like he's sad, it just looks like he's being ironic for leaving someone behind. And I cried when I heard Muse's version but on this one, when I heard it, I thought: "WTF??"

  • @TKOblue I agree, Wiz doesn't generally have the best voice in this song, but I love MC4 and Ipanema/Serpico to death, so I have absolutely no problem with this.

  • @jmserbia Haha, thank you! :)

  • @supermassiveXdream Yeah, I feel the same.

  • @StringQuartetFan: How? I can listen to both over and over again with no problem.

  • MY god...this lead singers voice compared to bellamys actually just makes me laugh. I couldn't listen to more than a minute and a half of this version.

  • @TKOblue I can listen to muse over and over and over...and have been for the past 4 years. I like radiohead but after hearing a song of theirs 2 or 3 times I'm over it. I think THAT is what makes muse better. For me, that is.

  • @SamuelEllmer: How are the lyrics pretentious? Many of them deal with feelings of inadequacy or shame.

  • @TKOblue I'm afraid you're mistaking meaningful with pretentious.

  • @SamuelEllmer: Muse is most certainly not a better band than Radiohead. Although Muse makes great emotional rock songs, Radiohead is by far more innovative with again by far more meaningful lyrics. Nothing Muse has ever made can compare to the album "OK Computer".

I'm a die-hard fan of both bands and love them to death, but Radiohead is the clear winner.
