That is not what is going on. This is not a Hollywood movie; it's not "Tell us where the bomb is or we'll waterboard you!!"  An easy way to tell if it is torture or not is this: If you saw a video of AMERICAN troops being waterboarded by the Taliban or any foreign "group", you would cry, "Torture!!!"...

..see how that works? Don't think with your feelings; use your brain. Torture is torture, no matter how you slice it, and psychological torture is just as real as physical.

Okay there's a difference between being anti-torture and being pro-terrorist. No one is pro-terrorist. The problem is that, using az101010's example, the terrorist could simply lie about where the bomb is. That's why torture doesn't work (aside from it being inhumane and barbaric).

Also just to clear up the facts, waterboarding can hurt people both physically and psychologically.

This isn't "liberal mentality," it's just common sense, and I don't think you can disagree with anything I said.

when someone has just killed a lot of people and they have a bomb set to kill more- you need to find out from them where the bomb is.. stupid liberals want to treat them with respect- and a sane person would frighten the hell out of them until they told where the bomb was..

Human rights are not so important. It's all about serving society at the cost of the individual.

I'm pleased that so many people here are encouraging and supportive of torture. This is a great move towards a socialist America that serves society at the mere cost of individual rights and privacy.
