Absolutely. The whine, is the sound of the Gearbox in neutral, and is a very distinctive sound most if not all Voith buses of that era have. I personally love it :-)

Thanks. When i got her she had a gearbox fault, so in rectifying that we pulled the engine out at the same time to fit new sound insulation in the engine compartment. This video was the first start since we refitted the engine and new gearbox.
