Tsunami 2004 at Tanjung Bungah Penang

Tsunami at Tanjung Bungah of Penang Island. This was the first time Penangites experienced Tsunami and many were caught by surprise. The authority took this very seriously and implemented warning system to alert people if tsunami strike again. At the mean time, enjoy the sunshine and beach of Penang Island.

At 0.55 a baby girl was swap away by the Tsunami and my uncle at Hollywood Restaurant went out into the water to grab her...Since then the girls family will come back to have dinner during 26 Dec even until now as remembrance and gratitude...

It might have been an idea to actually follow the wave as it hit the beach, rather than to zoom out and look at the sky and horizon. Tsunami's don't happen all that often, (thankfully), but when they do, having a video camera handy in a high up location such as this, is ideal to capture it's effect when it reaches land. You can take videos of the sky and horizon on any other occasion, but why now?? At least we got to see some of the after effects.
