Finally the type of movie i've been wanting to make, ABO 6 shows many of the game's locations and landscapes -- Upgraded places in Cyrodiil, the areas and cities of Elsweyr, mountain areas to the North to Skyrim and Hammerfell, and so on.

In hindsight, the recording has occasional lag, framedrops and loading moments. I had to make the choice between cutting corners by decreasing detail, or keep with potential lag/framerate drops, but I've always went with the approach: "it may be off-screen, but it's still there". For ABO7, I hope to find a method to make sure fluidness remains without loss of detail.

All music is by Matti Palaanen -- His music is free under Creative Commons, and freely downloadable from his sites. Google his name or find him on Jamendo.

  • Dude...................this isn't even Cyrodiil anymore. This is exactly why I hate mods. Idiots like to completely change the game when it's fine the way it is. It's not a perfect game, the NPC's could use some work, but it was made in 2005-2006, so the graphics on video games weren't all that good back then. It's good for when it was made, but I hate hate hate hate mods because the game is perfectly fine the way it is.

  • @13Warriorgirl I respect your opinion, and in a way you are right - as it becomes your own personalized (to a certain extent as most are mods from other people) version of Cyrodiil/Tamriel. I do think mods in general show how a collective effort -would- work, and what amazing results you can reach when people change the game to their own wishes.

'Vanilla' definitely has its charms, and remember you don't need to get complete mod packs; just get the (few) additions or changes that you like. ;)

  • Any chance you would be to make a mod pack with your settings on the mods to replicate this effect?

  • @Soulece I've been asked this before, so I'll update as soon as possible with a downloadable text file of the list of mods used, and further details. Will add it to the Description. Thanks for pointing that out!

  • at 1:47 what mods you have besides Qarl's texture pack, probably better cities and improved trees and flora?

Enb Series or what? would appreciate it if you responded :)

  • @Carlos848 It's a combination of above mentioned mods, ScreenEffects, OBGEv2's shader effects AND ENBSeries. Not a easy thing to do, took me a very long time to get this effect which I wanted.

In comparison to ABO 4, where ENBSeries' bloom effect was too much, I toned down the intensity of the effect. The bloom goes with the game's own HDR.

Also, ENBSeries uses a yellow-orange-ish palette, which blends correctly as seen in the last minutes at the Leyawiin bridge.

  • Don't know why this video does not have many views. It's so wonderful.

  • btw...so good to see immersive interiors in a vid.... it looks as good as i'd hoped.... :)

  • thanks so much for sharing. i'm hoping to get a new pc soon and the first thing i want to do is start modding oblivion as i've been lurking in the scene for years. talk about blue balls, eh. anyways your vids represent, to me, what i would like to have in my own game of oblivion....you've done a really great job using all those amazing new graphical effects well, and more importantly, getting them to play well together! once i get my comp i might have to ask you a few questions. thanks :)
