Microsoft and Samsung have united to jointly promote the benefits to IT in going green.
The IT bosses from both firms agreed to work together to encourage users to buy more environmentally friendly PCs.
In their new partnership, the pair endorses the energy savings that can be made from combining Windows 7 and Samsung's DDR3 memory chips.
Samsung Electronics chief exec Yoon-Woo Lee says the firm will install Windows 7 on all of its corporate PCs worldwide.
While Microsoft chief exec Steve Ballmer says it will promote the DDR3 memory chips to PC manufacturers.
It's claimed the combination is environmentally friendly because Samsung's chips use less power on the greater memory of Windows 7.
