I actually am playing out of my home right now. I am playing using the MAME emulator, which Twin galaxies does allow, but only for the MAME world record. I do not have a local machine anywhere around me. I did in fact beat 2 lap times, but I am capable of four in one run, I am working on getting that on tape right now actually. I wish I could play in an arcade, but I will be taking a trip to fun spot soon to attempt the world record on the arcade machine, So good luck to ya.

They only have Super Sprint at FunSpot. On SS you can choose a 1500 point bonus when you get 3 wrenches which is part of the game. I set the record on Championship Sprint with no Best Lap times which I guess is a questionable element of a World Record. If we setup a Championship Sprint machine and had (NO SCORES on the machine.. We could blow out the record because we would get best lap times on every race. We would break 30K.. (How the heck are you playing on Mame? Sterring wheel?

I will be posting my high score, I spent the past month jut playing this game about 2 hours a day and just beat the world record. My score was 21,990, and I know I can bet that score as well, be looking for my video within the week John. I'll be sure and let you know when I post it so you can check it out.

Headlear - Congrats!! I only have one question before I really feel the pressure.. When you played the game. Did you receive ANY (BEST LAP TIME BONUS) when you were playing? When i played I did not beat any lap times which gives you a Bonus Wrench and 500 to 1000 point bonus. If you didn't.. well then HOLLY CRAP!! awesome job. It's tough to break 20000. I can't wait to see your run and can I ask WHERE you are playign? My Sprint is broken here in NJ. Would love to be able to play again.

@KJC1997....sure you did, you realize that's over twice the world record score right? I seriously doubt you could post a score of 38k on one coin, especially on the correct dip switch settings(factory default).

I've broken 20k myself...just got my game up and running and think I might be able to push 25k with some hard practice. That would take an absolute flawless run though, and I mean FLAWLESS...not hitting a single wall, getting every lucky break etc....

is there even a previous record for this game on mame? i know there are a lot of the arcade version, but mame doesn't seem to get so many submissions.

Yeah I'm using a steering wheel. I'm gonna try for the super sprint record next. But it is a great way of playing cause it is an exact arcade replication. But I been wanting a world record since I watched the king of kong.
