Final Fantasy VI Advance Red Dragon (Dragon's Den)

This fight is seriously annoying! First of all, all of your attacks do 0 damage to him. You can't hurt him nor can you kill him normally. He gradually casts more and more powerful magic. However, this magic is extremely powerful and will absolutely kill your party members unless they are completely overlevelled.

Make sure you have 2 people with Quick, or 1 if absolutely necessary. This way you can continually cast Reraise on the rest of the party, so that when they die they get raised back up. Always cast Curaga often, and use Golem and Fenrir if you want. Also, Regen and Hastega on the entire party will help quite a bit.

You get an Apocalypse Sword for beating him!

Yeah exactly, the trick is to figure out how to live during that time. Some people use Dragoon Boots to jump, I tried to protect myself with Arise. You can do several methods.

My goal is to try to get to the Dragon's Den and have an average party level below 50...and no quick or ultima spells (except in random encounters maybe). And no Ultima Weapon or Lightbringers allowed on Genji Glove or Master's Scroll wearers. Think this is possible?

Thanks for the help. I thought you had to use Banish to kill him but now I know Reraise is the trick.

My party is Locke, Terra, Mog and Gogo, and they're all around level 70. It looks like I can beat him with that party after all since Locke and Gogo have Reraise.
