WM3 on THV (Part 1)

The first in a three-part series about the May 1993 triple homicide in West Memphis, AR. It first aired on KTHV Channel 11 (Today's THV) in Little Rock, AR at 10pm on November 16, 2009. Part one basically tells the story of the West Memphis Three and what many feel was a rush to judgement in sentencing Jessie Misskelley, Jr. and Jason Baldwin to life in prison, and Damien Echols to death by lethal injection.

The murders were in 1993. The full screen graphic (which is what I assume you are commenting about) refers to the date Damien and Jason were convicted - March 18,1994.

you can tell from this series that there's so much more footage that never made it into PL1 or 2. HBO must have recorded more courtroom stuff from the original trials than shows up in PL1 too. I wish it would see the light of day in some form.

the wm3truth site is total bullshit. the kids werent killed with knives those mutilation on thw byers kid occured posthumously from wild animals. and people who believe miskellys bs confession. he wouldnt be the first teen to confess to a murder he didnt do. especially a borderline retard interrogated for 20 hrs. with no representation. stay classy arkansas.

@peterHmode It's obvious that Jessie made up the confession because it does not match anything that happened to the boys. He made it up to make the cops stop interrogating him. When the cops first took the statement to the judge to get a search warrant, you know what happened? THE JUDGE SAID NO, because the "confession" did not match the crime. So they made Jessie change it! That's not a confession. That's getting someone to say what you want to hear.
