What's it like being a kid and seeing a Vulcan for the first time? It may be jerky, but hey, she's only 11!
Carlisle Airport 12th September 2008, XH588 overflies XJ823 of Solway Aviation Museum in thanks for help given in restoration.

  • I used to live near Carlisle and my dad would take me to the Solway Aviation Museum all the time in the mid-late '90s. I loved the Vulcan and Lightning there, and it really annoyed me that I couldn't go and see Vulcans and Lightnings flying at airshows - it just made no sense to me when I KNEW they were more modern than the WWII fighters I always saw! So it's great to see a flying Vulcan at Carlisle Airport even if it is on Youtube :)

  • More wobbly filming

  • great that the pilot waggled his wings

  • a truely great aircraft, and a great video, thanks for uploading it.

  • wow nice sound after the low flying.

    and nice video
