  • Is there any way to reduce cogging by mods to the hub or motor ? Great video !

  • @planowonder

no that i know easily. A direct drive motor also had cogging by cause by magnet. A smart controller can reduce the cogging by sending pluse in differ sequence. And thanks for the comment!

  • Thank you for showing a safe technique to assemble. I almost lost some fingertips a while ago when I assembled an x5 hub, but thankfully the bearing wasn't fully seated and so there was still a 1/4" gap.

  • @potatoho

thanks for your appreciation of the the video. We try to show the proper way and provide good tips to the public.

  • @ 5:20 EM pulse from the motor reintegration cuts out the sound! Notice it happens right when he flips the wheel over imparting spin on the internal wire loops. :D

  • I wanted to say thanks for the great video! Please make more of these if you have the time, this one was invaluable in helping me to disassemble, repair and reassemble my 9 continent motor after it spun out my front fork.

  • i thought i went deaf til i read the caption at the end haha

  • This helps as I have a motor that needs to come apart with a bad sensor

  • @flyboy01g

Its a harmonic balancer pulley available at any half decent automotive shop.

  • mistery solved !

one of the store members (KEN), elaborated, it's a 6' in. gear puller, and if you have the opportunity better to use 3 jaw instead of 2, though possible with 2 but probably be more messy.
