The Chicago Wolves hosted their second annual Future Journalists Media Day for high school students at the Hoffman Estates Community Center and Ice Arena during the team's practice on Tue., Nov. 13, at 9:30 a.m.

Guest speakers for the event included ABC 7 News Sports Director and Primary Sports Anchor MARK GIANGRECO, ESPN 1000 Radio Host HARRY TEINOWITZ, NBC 5 Sports Reporter PAULA FARIS and Daily Herald Wolves beat writer SCOTT POWERS. The quartet discussed their experiences making a career in sports journalism and answered questions from the students.

"I'm always so energized by bright, young people who are determined to excel in our business," said GIANGRECO. "I think I get just as much out of these seminars as I would hope the students do."

In addition to the Q&A with the speakers, the students had the chance to watch practice and interview Wolves coaches and players.

"We were thrilled with the success this event had last year. The feedback we got from both teachers and students was very positive," said Wolves Vice President of Operations Courtney Mahoney. "We've reached out to more schools this year and are looking forward to making an even greater educational impact with the support of our wonderful media personalities."

  • If you stop video at 4:04 you get a good look at Paula's ass. Nice!!!

  • Good stuff. harry is a goof on espn1000 but tolerable.

Paula (new baby and all) and Mark are the real deal.

Mark has a passion for hockey that anyone who watches him can see. He's been around chicago for so long now he I think is the face of Chgo sports journalism. Paula besides being easy on the eye is so personable she makes her sportscasts seem effortless and is a real welcome addition to some of the other shall we say "fake wanna be espn types" that are on the Chgo sports scene
