I usually brine my chicken for 30 minutes, and then after patting it dry I season it and then marinate it in buttermilk overnight. I then dip in flour and wait until the batter is "gummy", which causes the batter to stick better when frying. But your chicken looks good as hell, too. :-)

THANK YOU!!! I have a low attention span, even when my mom, and sister tried showing me a long time ago I barely remembered. This helped me cook fried chicken for myself the first time!

Rosie, people like you are what make the web worthwhile. I'm currently using your recipe for oven-baked pork ribs and tomorrow night I'll be using this fried chicken recipe. Good eating.

Howdy Mrs. Rosie, I have a question for you! I generally double-dip the chicken in flour (after a minute or so of each side in the oil I put it back in the flour mix) what method do you prefer? I did check out your other video on "extra crispy" fried chicken but was still curious.
