Great Central Railway S&D Steam Gala October 2011

The theme for the GCR's Autumn Steam Gala was "the Somerset & Dorset" with a visiting Spam Can and former S&D loco, 88.
Filmed between Thursday afternoon and Saturday lunchtime, in at times blustery conditions, I should add that the 04 was turned on the new turntable on Friday after some footage was shot; and I have of course done some editing.
Locos in action were-
•Visiting ex-Southern Railway/British Railways Bulleid pacific locomotive Nº34007 "Wadebridge"
•Visiting 7F 2-8-0, No. 88 The Somerset & Dorset Railway Trust's largest and heaviest museum exhibit is former SDJR 7F 2- 8-0, No. 88, built in 1925
•Southern Railway King Arthur class Nº 30777 "Sir Lamiel" back to GCR for the first time in many months
GWR Hall, Nº4953, "Pitchford Hall", a 4-6-0 Hall class steam locomotive built by the Great Western Railway (GWR) at Swindon Works in August 1929
•Sole surviving GCR freight locomotive, O4 2-8-0 No 63601. This locomotive will turn 100 years old in January next year
•LMS 3F 0-6-0 No 47406
•LMS '8F' No. 8624
•BR Standard Class 2, 2-6-0 No. 78019
•N2 1744

What a great show they put on Mike and how well you captured it. Quite a few highlights in there but I was pleased to see Wadebridge at speed and Sir Lamiel behaving herself. Chris

@khankadet Many thanks Chris. The TPOs are always a great sight, although Wadebridge's run seemed a little restrained. Thankfully no fires from Lamiel !!!
