Director: Grant Gee

Following the British rock band Radiohead on their exhaustive world tour (after the success of their 1997 album "OK COMPUTER"), the film is a collage of video clips, sound bites, and dialogue going behind the scenes with the band as they travel the world. It show us the eventual burn-out of the group as their world tour progresses.

The world tour that is the subject of Meeting People Is Easy has subsequently been admitted as a low point for the band, specifically Thom Yorke, who had a near-breakdown. This would form the background of Radiohead's recording sessions beginning in 1999 for their next albums Kid A and Amnesiac, inspiring a different songwriting and recording style and the band's changed sound after OK Computer.

Thom Yorke, lead singer of Radiohead claims that Meeting People Is Easy is a 94-minute message to any younger bands who might envy Radiohead's high-flying lifestyle. And that message is: "Don't even think about it."

  • something about principles and the way the media (and public) expected them to do the mainstream thing and just whore themselves out on basically every level

thankfully they didn't. but you can go listen to coldplay if you want to

  • he wasn't angry about the number of fans. He was angry with all the supplementary stuff i.e, interviews, photoshoots, constant flying, more interviews.......

  • @Zyoung66 it's called Big Boots

  • @minimemarcus88 probably will

  • @harrymosesgk Wow i didnt even bother to notice that, its such a boring documentary. Good point though ;)

  • @SaucisseMerguez the documentary is supposed to show the degradation of the band after they released OK Computer. The album was supposed to be their highest point in the end, as shown is their lowest point. The documentary is meant to have a background message of how miserable being a "rockstar" can be. Your taking it at face value i.e "its a montage of live performances and clips of them talking backstage".

  • @harrymosesgk Ok fine, whats the point then ?

  • @SaucisseMerguez your sort of missing the point really.

  • im decepointed with this documentary, its more like a montage of live performances intercut with a few clips of them talking backstage.

  • @atlaseyes98 /watch?v=sVEckz0WSf0 download it with atuber or some youtube to mp3 software man, that's what i did. you are welcome :)

  • Someone just has to know what that last song is.
