New Year's Eve event - Club NY

Club NY, Charlestons biggest night club which epitomizes a new standard in nightlife, is opening for one night only New Years Eve 2008 - and is guaranteed to have people talking throughout 2009. The events debut in 2007 brought over 650 people to the Gaillard Auditorium Expo Hall. The inspiration behind Club NY is to elevate locals nightlife and introduce the nationally-recognized DJs and entertainers, cosmopolitan décor and design, edge and diversity that one would find in influential cites such as New York City.




This one time only nightclub features international sounds including reggae, house, hip-hop, 80s retro and todays pop music. Club NY has a diverse crowd and everyone has one thing in common: a desire for good music, dancing and a love of a good time.

- break-dancing by Hypnotik Bodyrock
- salsa rhythms from DJ Luigi of Latin Groove (www.latingroovecharleston.com)

There will be three rooms each playing a different style of music all night long. A full schedule will be available at www.clubnycharleston.com. Big screen projections of Times Square at midnight will give the full effect of being in New York City and a confetti blast and champagne toast will help ring in the new year right.
