Happy Christmas Everyone.

Here's a new comparison clip showing the differences between the official DVD and Revisited. For some reason the overly blue image from the official release seems to have stripped the Revisited version of most of its blues, making it look a bit grey and lighter. I can assure you that it doesn't look that grey when seen on its own.

Uh... yes, the blue grading was way overdone, but IMHO you've overdone it in the other direction... The blue cast really helped emphasize the quickly coming nightfall and thus stressed the urgency of the situation. It would have been great to keep some of the color grading in outdoor shots (evening lighting, especially winter time, is indeed blue tinted). Very good call removing it from indoor shots however, it really had no place there, with artificial lighting and all.

@Jonboy2312 this is an old video that was done before the final colour grading. Plus youtube seems to mess the colouring up for some reason. Check out the Revisited facebook page and you can see videos and screengrabs with the correct colouring. I assure you it looks nothing like this.

just remember something else that in the close up of Chewbacca at 1:58, the doors start closing (without the sound effect) before they do in the wide shot. Just noticed that a months ago.

i like the original blue version as it seems night is falling... anyway, one more 'congratulations' to your great pile of good comments. your job surprised me, and i consider myself a huge purist of the saga. i was wondering when re u exactly giving us empire's revisited masterpiece... regards from spain.

@Synth3t1cs I can't agree with you. It wasn't THAT blue in the original. The whole 2004 DVD has screwed colours. I think Ady has done a great job for colour correction itself.

The blue version looks much better. The bottom version looks incomplete
