Hi there, I made a new Timelapse how I painted my laptop. I first wanted the paint the ubuntu logo on it, but that didn't worked, because of the cheap paint I used. The black layar started to react on the yellow of the logo. In the second part you can see how I painted it white.

  • @gresleya3kid Just bulling you, your router/modem will protect you from these threads.

  • i just want to put a brush over the scratch....not the whole thing....i am trying 2 find the or a close fitting paint colour so it looks as good as new....i dont dare do the whole thing.....my laptop is like the very 1st 1 on this vid but the slightly higher speck 1.....with a web cam any ideas?

also i suffer from a loose power jack problem/.....im told it is very common.....u the same?

    cheers again m8!

  • @gresleya3kid Well about the power jack, a few weeks ago I got also little problems with it, but after a few days, it just disapeared. About the color, that is quite hard to do, it is easier to just paint the whole thing, cause you then won't have to find the right color. btw, you could just buy a laptop sticker, it will fit nicely. And I am thinking of redoing my mod. Any Ideas?

  • @gresleya3kid You should first use sandpaper to sand it, and then, you can use almost every paint for it, if you supply a priming layer first.

But if you use acryl paint, it doesn't matter if you do this. You can just paint acryl on it, but then you can't use multilayers, because it wel start reacting.

Good luck, unscrewing is easy, most work will be the sanding and painting
