On Sunday January 4th, Ashford International services where only running between Ashford and Bexhill, where the trains would use the crossover to switch back and travel back towards Hastings. There where no Ore trains, and these where replaced by busses which ran between Polegate and Ore.

In this video, we can see some of the trains using the crossover set of points outside Bexhill station, the Southern guy moving the points, and me on one of the trains using the crossover. Theres also a tone :)

Enjoy, and please watch in high uality. Comment, and sub :)

  • as tarvessias de madeira são muito escorregadias quando molhadas?

  • @XxROBERTSONx I would hope so given as Steve is a signalman.

  • @whereinsussex hahaha take it youv done a PTS course aswell

  • @HSTChris "...never understood why you're not supposed to tread on the other 2 rails though"

'cos you can slip and go a**e over t*t...Yep - it happened to me once when I was a young 'un based at Old Oak Common...It's not a good thing to happen with that live rail there...which incidentally is 750 volts *DC*...Very dangerous. Same goes for sleepers...You shouldn't step on them when crossing the track either.

  • @HSTChris I wonder if the rule against stepping on any rail is to make sure people don't get confused and tread on a third rail thinking it was a running rail. I suppose if the light wasn't too good you could make that mistake.

I don't think I'd like to work on a third rail system very much at all, it seems very dangerous indeed to me; I wonder if someone had invented it for the first time today if they would consider it to be acceptable?

  • "When crossing the line, always cross ballast to ballast and when crossing the line in a 3rd rail area, cross where there is a break in the 3rd rail, and if this is not possible, cross both the running rail and the conductor rail in one movement"

  • When you walk on the wooden sleepers! They are very slippery when wet!

  • how do you slip?

people do it all the time at crossings and when i put coins on the tracks
