Ah, i see what you mean. I wrote that because I was thinking of all the potential enemies he could have eaten in the fort (which were abundant)- and I wasn't thinking about the egg box at the time.

He likely did it to get another egg then, rather than relying on the egg box thing. In the longer run it saved more time.

why did you drop down to eat that [milde?] at 0:14? It seems like that wasted a half-1 second. It doesn't sound like much, but it doesn't sound like something you would normally do... (even in 2007)

Let me stress that this is a promo video. It was an attempt to improve my current (outdated and slow) 4-4 100%. I was on the bridge of accepting it or not, and just procrastinated for a while (years) before bothering formatting it to share or bother submitting to SDA. Ultimately now, I can do way better, and a few time savers have been found since this was made.
It's possible to eat the milde without losing as much speed as I did. I just timed it poorly. :(
