Grant's Get aways was a huge reason we watched Katu. We would stop everything when one of his reports came on. He will be missed. I emailed the station to let them know this loyal viewer of 35 years plus has made the switch to an other station. They do not seem to care. No response. What a shame.

For those of you who don't know, Grant's contract was not renewed by KATU TV in Portland. This was a huge mistake. What we are seeing is the McDonaldization of TV news. Here in the Northwest we care a great deal for our outdoors. But the TV producers want to jam salacious crap down our throats. Rapes, murders, robberies and the worst elements of human behavior is all we see anymore.
Grant will be missed. I have no doubt that he will land on his feet.
