@MTD369 oh shit i just saw i put increase i was about to go off like i alreayd know it decreases spool time lol. im done arguing obviously we both understand i just saw i missed typed from my previous statement.

@MrJpierson Im talking about the housing of the turbo. Thats what i meant when i said physically bigger. Supporting both scrolls independently takes up more space on the turbo housing side. Its all over evom and nasioc. They have side by sides, its pretty clear (evo8 twin scroll turbo, and sti turbo). Evo turbo is much bigger. I can send you the link if you want. Twin scroll DECREASES spool time. for owning 3 turbo cars u should know. you have your shit backwards

@MTD369 i understand no evo or sti is the same just like any car but... do you know what twin scroll means? it has no factor in making the turbo larger. all twinscroll is is basically it splits the exhaust housing so there is less spacs which actually creates a smaller exhaust housing... but increases spool time.. the compressor housing is larger on an sti. i would know i owned a wrx with full sti setup and an sti and now i own an evo.

@MrJpierson .1 seconds in the 1/4 is within error bars of being equal. Sti is quicker on the bottom end. Compare whp numbers and both come out to be the same 220-240. You cant argue otherwise unless you have tested 10 evos and 10 stis on the same dyno on the same day. The turbo on the Evo is physically bigger, mainly because its a twin-scroll setu. and yes your correct on the FMIC lag/throttle response issue but becomes more lively because of the twin scroll and EL headers.

@MTD369 actually your wrong too. an evo is faster in a quarter mile by very little and yes its because its gearing.... an sti has to shift too many times. and they both dyno about the same and weigh about the same. the sti does put more crank hp down but the only reason the evo will put more WHP down is because an evo has a better AWD system and has a less of a drivetrain loss.
-
@lilxsmoky actually your wrong yes evo is faster first of all. second if anything the sti should have an advantage because it has a top mount no tubing means alot less lag. and second the evo has a 16g and an sti has an 18g. check your shit before you post an incorrect statement........ kids....

@MTD369 Check again, stock for stock there is literally a 0.1 sec difference between the two, with the exact same driver mod. As for this race, the STI needs a better tune and it would've been a bigger win. But either way, this video actually isn't proving anything for either car, because both are not completely stock, nor are they both modded. Still entertaining though.
-
@lilxsmoky Completely incorrect. You are talking out of your ass. stock subaru is faster in a straight line than a stock evo. And the turbo isnt bigger, its just running more boost. 19.5psi on a 2.0L engine, subaru is 14.5psi on a 2.5L engine. It comes down to its power and weight and gearing.

evo comes with a bigger turbo and a front mount* ofcource its faster then a stock subby/////
That stage 2 STi didn't beat the evo by a whole lot. Needs driver mod.
