  • Muito bonito a colocação do Tallit!

  • @OneFabFisher Women are not generally considered to be "obligated" to do so but they are certainly permitted in all traditions of Judaism. As a general rule, Women are exempt from commandments that are specific to time specifications like saying the Shma. Nothing restricts them from doing so, they are just not obligated. In some Jewish communities, women are held to be obligated as a matter of egalitarian ethos. I personally believe that women are obligated to all of the same commandments as men

  • @brandenstone

Rabbi Rivkin is demonstrating the custom according to Chabad. He also says some verses that Rabbi Salfer left out. Those verses are also likely recited by R' Salfer, but he left them out, presumably for simplicity's sake.

  • I am new to the Tallit. You did it differently from different from Rabbi Rivkin on youtube. What is the difference?

  • can women wear this and do they say the same blessing?

  • @bennatan You are thinking about the Sepharadi/Mizrachi tradition. You should not cover the face because it resembles that of a dead person.

  • Is there a halachah on covering the face completely or leaving a bit open like you do? Or is it just a matter of custom?

  • ashkenazi pronunciation

  • I wrap myself in the tallit according the Chabad's tradition.

  • The ten remain.
