$249.99 http://proguitarshop.com/catalinbread-semaphore-tap-tempo.html The Catalinbread Semaphore Tap Tempo Tremolo packs classic pulses and modern functionality into a handmade pedal. Catalinbread gives this updated Semaphore 8 flexible waveforms from smooth sine, triangle and square to complete randomness. A Tap Divide knob enables you to turn each step into a super wide range of fast and slow speeds. The Semaphore Tap Tempo Tremolo also has expression pedal control, an external tap input, and uses up to 18 volts for cleaner headroom.

  • How did you "set the expression pedal to control the depth rather than the speed"? What expression pedal are you using and how do you determine what the expression pedal controls?

  • @camsim00 @ 4:45 we show a small switch that selects speed or depth control by the expression pedal. It's real simple and we used a basic M-Audio exp pedal. Thanks,

    PGS

  • I really hope that the clicking of the tap tempo is not audible when playing...

  • @Ramones1234100 No it's silent, which is why we let the cam mic through for those portions. Thanks,

    PGS

  • @batflash It has 5 more waveforms and 2 more subdivision types, and a volume knob, so i guess it may be worth it, depends on how much control you want to have over your effect. Even more tweakable tremolos are made by Lightfoot labs(Goatkeeper) or Guyatone(Ultrem), but they are, of course, a bit pricier... :/

  • Andy you should play ( Blur: Oily Water ) on your next tremolo pedal demo!!!

  • @sn1ffy85 Hey, cut him some slack.

He's probably just a kid who wants to learn a song. No need to be arrogant about it.

  • @sn1ffy85 Hmm, that was called for, wasn't it?

  • PGS what expression pedal did you use?? is it possible to use a volume pedal as an expression pedal? cheers :)

  • What makes this different than Seymour Duncan's approach to tap-tempo tremolo, ShapeShifter? CB even incorporates the same controls, with the addition of an expression pedal of course. But seriously, is the addition of an expression pedal really worth the extra 100 bucks? Or does the Catalinbread sound that much... different?

  • Sometimes I think i want to just listen to Andy play the old songs. I find more great songs through Andy's demos and appreciate the one's I already know even more.

  • i love how you can plug in an expression pedal!! way to go Catalinbread!
