The long awaited prelude to my On Letting Go Speedpainting. This one was also originally created by Esao Andrews, and it took me approximately 18 hours to finish. I really tried harder to get more colour depth and texture this time and I'm very happy with the results. I find it funny that Anthony Green sings "Patience...." right as it shows me drawing those damn vines....so frustrating. Sorry Esao, I kind of butchered the painting with my laziness, and as you can tell the roots aren't as clean as they are supposed to be, but oh well.

Finally, if anyone from Circa Survive is watching this one, would you mind posting it on your board for me like the last one? It did wonders for my youtube subscriptions. Thanks to both the band and Esao for your inspiration, as I'm going to start making my own work from now on, hopefully I'll be able to go somewhere with it one day.

Feel free to comment, subscribe and link this video to as many websites as possible, and help me get some work doing what I love!

-Matt.

  • What kind of Tablet do u use!? I want to get one :)

    any recommendations?

  • Well in my opinion (and many others) Wacom makes the best tablets. The professional one is called intuos3, but I think a bamboo will more than suffice if you are a beginner. I have the smallest one available, and I'm still able to do whatever I want with it, its just hard sometimes. Go big if you can afford it.

  • this is immense i just started using photoshop but this is one of the greatest things ive ever seen

  • Thanks, keep practicing, it shouldn't take too long.
