Mini tugboat by Berkeley Engineering

This was taken 9/7/10 at Lake Havasu in Arizona. The boat was built by Berk Eastman, aka "our dad", and is named the Mohican, after the tug he was stationed on during his years in the USCG. This is a 10 foot boat, called the Perfect 10. You can order plans by going to http://www.berkeley-engineering.com. These boats are so much fun!!!!

i'd love to see more video of this boat underway (up on plane) and onboard as well. it's hard to visualize the size of the cabin by looking at pictures. i'm trying to decide if i should choose to build this boat or the candu ez. I know this one is significantly quicker and less expensive to build, but the ez has that great stand-up cabin with a door...

Hi! I am sorry that I didn't have my good camera with me that day, and could only film this with my cell camera. It doesn't do distance well. You are perfectly right about the Candu EZ having the larger stand up cabin, and this boat being faster and less expensive. It is all a matter of choice! This one will plane perfectly and tracks well with the box keel. This was the last run on this boat for a while, as we took the motor off that same day to put on another boat.
