  • Thanks for posting...it's nice to see the show after playing in it and not being able to see it...such a tease!

  • wow this is so cool! you're the oboist arthur sato right? well thank you for contributing to a wonderful show! and i never really thought about your predicament. i can just imagine sitting there wanting to turn your head to see what's going on. glad i could help in a small way.

  • My God, what a great song. My friends just moved to NYC, but I couldn't convince them to go see this show...poor ignorant souls!

  • You are right, that harmony is my favorite part of that song. I keep it on Itunes and keep pushing the slider back to hear just that part. It is wonderful.

I hope your cover of it at college turns out really well. Maybe post it onto Youtube once you do it -- or post it here as a video response.

    Best wishes!

  • the only thing that dissapoints me is he doesn't do the 5 part harmony in this song. im covering it at college and we're gonna try it =]

  • "I can't explain the state I am in. The state of my heart. He was my best friend."

    from Predatory Wasp

    "He approached my window

I was hypnotized, I was asked

    To improvise

    On the attitude, the regret

Of a thousand centuries of death "

from Come on! Feel the Illinoise.

The most beautiful lyrics he sings. So amazing.

  • This is my favorite Sufjan song. The audio on this is terrible, but I am so glad you posted it. I have been to the Mississippi Palisades many times (they are in Illinois, what this is about) and this songs gives me chills, it is so beautiful. I love the metaphors in the song.

  • Probably the single greatest musical performance I have ever had the pleasure to attend.

  • I would give my left arm for a chance to speak to Sufjan for a minute, but to play with him! wow, fantastic.

  • Brilliant :)

  • This is my favorite Sufjan song!!! Thanks.

  • You're AWESOME for posting this. Thanks a million times :D
