Im using a pokemon movie 08 event shaymin and it says met at a fateful encounter, but when i use the flower it says "It wont have any effect". can someone help me?

If bluely1994 is right, as long as it was "Met in a fateful encounter," it should work.

Most likely no, unless it is designed to be exactly like an event Shaymin.
