The pressure wheel is homemade from a couple of bearings i had laying around and a wheel from harbor freight, tension is applied via a bungee cord, total cost was 5$. This is a dry 2x4, a typical sopping wet (green) 2x4 will feed about 5 times slower without forcing the cut. The other video shows the mechanism from the back side.

  • Could that wheel be attached to a tablesaw ?

  • @beno2rasho Sure, ive thought about doing that, would just take a hole in the table to mount the bearing. In this video the bearing is mounted from a single corner (4 bolt flange mount bearing) using a 1/2" bolt fully torqued. On the table saw, since the length of the cut is 6-8 inches, handling the scrap and finished piece after the wheel lets go is a concern to be delt with.

  • Great idea for holding the workpiece up to the fence. Cheers!
