Tropical Update from 10/11/1990 with John Hope discussing Tropical Storm Marco in the Gulf of Mexico and Hurricane Lili, south of Bermuda and the remnants of Klaus. Marco redefined what a "landfall" was, as it used to be the direct center of the storm had to pass over land, Marco changed that to include any part of the center of circulation that crosses land. Even though there was not an eye with Marco, its right calm center did track over land.

Lili, was forecast to come very close to North Carolina and possible strike New England. Many people were still hurrican weary after Hugo one year before. Fortunately, Lili was picked up by an approaching trough and kicked out to sea.

You can also see the remnants of Klaus moving into South Carolina and dropping a tremendous amount of rain.
