We took a mini cruise on the Pride of Bilbao and had a great time. Read the full written review at http://www.eurodestination.com/portsmouth-to-bilbao-ferry-the-pride-of-bilbao.... The weather held up pretty well, which enabled us to do some whale watching in the Bay of Biscay.
This service is being closed from September 2010 as the ship has come to the end of its lease and no profitable alternative has been found. Make sure you book it for this summer as it will be sorely missed by many.

  • The Pride of Bilbao ship is in Falmouth having a re-fit and will be returning to service in the near future, but not sure what route the ship is taking at the moment

  • @billionaire1997kid Good to know, fingers crossed!

  • its sad but way things are now we exspect i just hope she comes back in to service again on the same route wish i had the money to rescue her services used this 4 reguler trips to spain to drive down to vigo spain best ferry ever even in a force 10 storm

  • @beefyboy09 It is sad to see her go, but note that Britanny Ferries will take over this route in spring with a newer, faster ship. Cheers.

  • @beckyafc Thanks for this. You know the silly thing is, YouTube asked me to do a revenue share on this video and then rejected it because the clip of me drinking a pint of Guiness was not family friendly!!! She'll be sorely missed, we had a lovely time aboard the P of B

  • Saw her leave Portsmouth last night for the last time, destination Falmouth. There were 15 or so people at the round tower to wave her off. I posted the video on here. Sad she left so late, she was scheduled to leave around 6pm but had engine trouble. It was almost dark by the time she got to round tower. Very sad to see her go with such a small send off. I like your video. I was lucky enough to visit the bridge and the engine room a few times and the prisons great fun
