VIDEO:
This is a Drum Cover Medley of songs that I have created from Meshuggah's 1998 Album Release Chaosphere and is the copyrighted property of its owner(s).

I picked the most interesting drumming parts from each song, cut them up and pieced it together with some trial and error in Protools. I didn't alter the pitch or speed of any song but I wanted the transitions between songs as smooth and unnoticeable as i could so I matched up songs that were similar in feel or speed (i actually found a nice polyrhythmic transition into the last song) :)

  • Well done Troy! I found your vid through a post at the Meshuggah Forum. Chaosphere is really a revelation of an album. A real eye-opener when I first heard it 12 years ago. You did the drum parts justice! I hope Misha and Tosin have seen your Periphery and AAL videos as well. Very impressive. I'd love to see what you could do with one of my Tandjent songs to take it to the next level. I was heavily influenced by DEI and Chaosphere at the time I made the album. Cheers and keep up the videos! Tim

  • @timothydog76 Why would Misha and Tosin be the ones interested in this? they no drum, dum dum :D

  • @Basebalfan18 I have spoken to both Misha and Tosin in person and even tho they dont drum they are also very influential of the drummer as drummers are of guitarists in the genre!

  • @timothydog76 Thanks man! I love this album!

  • This is an insane album for the drums. Amazing work bro!

  • The amount of my respect is indescribable.

  • @Basebalfan18 err, misha drums; he actually posted himself covering chaosphere tracks, once upon a time. Nub.

  • 1 person missed the like button by accident, and will forever feel like a tool.

  • Really? Who's the one fag who disliked this? The world doesn't need you, go die. Great Job again!

  • @Basebalfan18 riiiight ;) their drum beats were created by magical drum robots. i keep forgetting.

  • You killed it, brah. Especially Neurotica's sick-ass groove. Goddamn! Massive respect.

  • fucking nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Troy, you play the bass drum with your feet very high up on the pedal. Is this natural for you? I personally find it quite hard...

  • Tomas Haake is an ass for setting the bar so high, and you aren't making my goal of playing these songs perfectly easy either. Haha but no hate bro, you're insane! Serious props to you for pulling this off with such ease, but man am i jealous of your playing :(
