awesome sir, i recently two weeks i had a light spar with shotokan black belt as for me being an kyokushin orange belt . i felt like he out foot work me with his speed ..but i could out power his with powerful blows but still i feel frustrated. also i notice in okinawan karate do more condition or is it just when i'm black belt in kyoskuhin i get condition..it's like the more i get in to karate to more i like it..

Thank you for your comment. As you know Mr. Oyama trained under Mr. Funakoshi (the founder of Shotokan) when he (Mr. Oyama) was a young man. Okinawan Karate can cover Naha Te, Shuri Te and Tomari Te so each style of karate has it's focus, each teacher has his/her favor waza or technique. Shodan states that you have a basic understanding of kihon the foundation of Karate. And yes, I feel the more I do the more I learn and the more I enjoy it plus respect it. Good luck Osu

@1banryukyu the thing is with kenpo...it's very universal... you can incorporate many different weopons into kenpo...
