No it is not conservative observation. An actual comment would be how you liberals, the nice sensitive tolerant types like you who depend on insult. The left has nothing but failure and collapse to claim whenever it has the misfortune of acquiring power and monopoly. Conservative thought founded America and is behind every success.

You should think about taking a lesson before giving one... liberal and libertarian are not the same thing.

Liberal : of or constituting a political party advocating or associated with the principles of political liberalism

Libertarian: a person who upholds the principles of individual liberty especially of thought and action

Liberals are left Libertarian right or center. You can't fall in with Libertarian views and want the government to fix everything for everybody at the same time.

Mr. Goldberg clearly prefers to imagine all liberals as stereotypical, and I really don't see how writing an entire book dedicated to dismantling a stereotyped opponent is productive or interesting. This is clogging serious discussion. It's also clearly written for conservatives to self-indulge. It would be better if its target audience was liberals. Zizek has similar critiques of half-assed multiculturalism and mysticism on the Left, which are challenging and productive since he's a leftist.

One of the originals is 92 year old Lyndon LaRouche, who was a militant Anti-Abort way, way back. LL used to speak with passion about how Earth could easily accomodate a population of "25,000,000,000"---had all the diagrams and charts about water relocation to, uh, prove it. Schmeh. And pleh.

I disagree with Goldberg on one point ..religion. Religion does have a lot of questionable dogma. When any religion claims its the only true religion and the rest are false. Another words " only my faith knows what god wants for breakfast" Spirituality sees god in the universal, transcendent of particular dogmas itself.
