  • would somebody tell me what does KOCHARi mean in armenian? sure nothing. because it is AZERI word, and this is azeri music too

  • @e1802 There you go, why don't you read up and expand your knowledge a bit before you embarrass yourself with your ignorance and hatred. This music and dance style is very old and is found in many cultures.

  • @jivanballplaya89 Go to Wikipedia and type in Kochari and see the article there clearly explaining how many different cultures have this in their history and the description of them.

  • @e1802 Of corse this is Azerbaijanian Mosic- armenian always would like to wear our shoues but they are never can not steps like Azerbaijanian.....Azerbaijanian Great with great rich history and culture . Be sure we will put this in your mind soon.

    .

  • Rich history? Where were the Azeris when the Assyrians, Armenians and Greeks were dancing and playing this style of dance music? Rich history and culture, come on it's historically known the Azeri people were not in the region of the Caucasus before the second half of the millenium (before around 1000 AD). If you can answer that then I will actually dignify your statement.

  • @51jek Thanks for the Wikipedia article, I knew all that since I've read the history as well. What was your point? You're just proving my point of how the Azeri people in literal terms were not in that region while the Armenians, Caucausus Albanians, Greeks, etc. were. What are you trying to say I don't understand?

  • the fact that kocharee means nomad in turkic is just a coincidence, the armenian kochari comes from the pontic greco-armenian 'kotsari: which refers to movement of the feet...kocharee is a warriors dance, from kars, nothing to do with azeris, or nomads

  • @e1802 Dear friend Koch in Armenian means( goat) and Ari in Armenian means( man). kochari means a man who take care of goats . (Sheppard)

  • @e1802 GETVEREN !

  • 51jek..The name "Kochari" comes from Armenian word qoch, koch, or ghoch which means "ram" in Armenian. Ram was a holy animal in old Armenia and was associated with Gods before Christianity, this Armenian dance is 3000 years old, The moves in the dance look like a fighting ram.

  • @e1802 Da konechno.... kochari ne azerbaycanskoe slovo, a tyurkskoe, eto vo pervix, a vtoroe- jesli nazvanie tyurkskoe, eto ne znachit , chto muzyka toze. naprimer chajkovskij napisal shelkunchik po motivam jevropejskoj skazki, no nikto nesomnevajetsja, chto Chajkovskij russkij kompozitor i jego muzyka russkaja.
