  • @MJFAN0799 if you think thats emo, then I feel sorry for you. Babe that fucking Punk. that is possibly the farthest thing from emo as it could get.

  • Am I the only one who thinks Brody is about 4000 times hotter with the punk thing goin on.

  • @khal1977 I think there were a few people with spikes back then, but not very many that's for damn sure. It wasn't until about 1980 that the stereotypical punk hairdos became really well established. I didn't live through it personally, but during my punk infatuation nearly a decade ago I saw lots of photos from the very early years.

This blooper is a perfect example of how simplistic stereotypes can cloud one's understanding of history as it really happened.

  • "he's a hairdresser and I'm a punk rocker, couldn't be more different." Based on the hairdo of Brody's character, is this intended to be a joke of irony?

  • @MJFAN0799 not fuckin emo

  • @MJFAN0799 Maybe you should listen to what he is saying about his character in Summer of Sam.

  • Im not used to seeing him so emo.

  • wat in the world is wrong with his hair?!

  • @Flipper79able your point is valid about how the punk look Lee uses really wouldn't have happened on the New York scene of 76-77. I just think the performances were great, and the scenes where Berkowitz is going insane in ih house, and the carnage he unleashes on this terrified city, in the sweltering summer heat, against totally unexpecting victims, was brilliant. Maybe not his best film, I think the 25th hour is better.
