I love this woman, she will always be my hero. As a white man from Conway, AR, I have to say that she helped to cleanse our society of a grave sickness. It's not entirely gone, but she along with many others have helped to rid our society of it. For that, I will always be thankful.

all people think USA is the most democratic country in the world, maybe democratic but most Racist, people don't be racists, the color doesn't mean nothing, and if the student has discipline problems in school that is not because he is a african-american, do you think in countries where only white men live there is no crime and everything is perfect? i read Melba's book and that was terrible to realize that people want to kill other people just because of their race!

You know I am sorry the LR 9 had to endure that hell they must have went through....but look at Central today..as well as most public schools..they are riddled crime and black students that are discipline problems....You can take the nigger out of Africa..but you can't take the Africa out of the nigger. I hate to be a hater but that it the truth...by % of each ethnic group..blacks create the most street crime...the Mexicans hardly have any...as a % for their group...please explain this to me!!

I agree, her book, Warriors Don't Cry is one of the most excellent books I have read in my life.
