When americans see a map of their beloved United States, that's all the map contains. No Canada, no Mexico, no rest of the world.

When you present the average american with a globe, they're first confused by it's suspicous shape (sphere) before recognising it was the 'Universal Studios' logo.

Then they struggle to find a familiar outline, only to be confounded by how many other landmasses there are in the world - and that america is not the biggest.
