Its because DC has a bat embargo that CW can not use anything batman related in Smallville because of the movie franchise agreement with certan products. Same issue goes with Green lantern, Wonder Woman, Shazam, and the flash. (Bart in Smallville is Impulse) Lots of legal issues.. they can mention Gotham city (they have once) outside of that they can't do much.

wonder twins were created primary for the 70's cartoon "superfriends" then they eventually were in the comics
