Everyone has the right to defend themselves, their families and loved ones, and those around them, however not everyone is wise enough to do so. It is the responsibility of everyone to defend themselves, a polite society is an armed society! I work in a cemetery/crematory, I carry because crazy people come to my work and do crazy things and many satanic things, I need to be armed, but I also want to be armed anyway. Everyone should buy a gun and take some classes on how to use it, and be safe!
